Olympic Harbour Wedding, Kingston ONT. {Alysha and Justin}

Well, I finally did it! I jumped in and shot my very first wedding! I was soooo nervous when Alysha and Justin asked me to photograph their big day, but so honoured at the same time. With my boyfriend being the best man, I was already attending the wedding. However, now I had the privilege of capturing those truly special “moments” that every photographer hopes to nail. 

My morning started off with visiting both the guys and the girls in their hotel rooms, being able to capture all of the excitement before the ceremony. A special shout out to Emily Frizell for hanging with the guys and capturing a bit more before the ceremony!

From there it was onto the ceremony (riding in style I may add!) where close family and friends gathered on the balcony.

After a celebratory “champagne pop” with the wedding party, the night ended with some lovely speeches, yummy food and of course dancing! 

I can’t fail to mention that one of the most touching things from this wedding was the way in which they honoured the memory of Alysha’s father throughout the whole day. From having her dad’s wedding ring embedded into her bouquet, to the blue rose honouring him at the ceremony, and finally, his family all joining hands and taking part in the traditional father-daughter dance, her father was definitely present on her big day <3.
