Last weekend was another first for me as a photographer! I got to photograph baby Trent, a one week old handsome little man, and his beautiful family! When Kareese asked me if I would be interested in taking newborn pictures for her, I felt so many emotions, including both excited and very nervous. I informed her that I have never done any type of newborn photos before and I use strictly the outdoors at the moment but she didn’t hesitate to trust me to capture this time of his life.
I love being challenged as a photographer, and I can honestly say this was the most challenging shoot I have ever done. I don’t think I’ve ever held a baby as young as Trent (I know right?! Come on I have three older sisters, lets gooooo!) The instant she asked me to shoot this for her, I started thinking, what if I couldn’t pose him right? I don’t want to hurt him! And the list went on.
Well fast forward to the day Trent arrived at the farm for his debut, and all of those worries flew out the window. Kareese and Matt were both so easy going and big sister Lila was a perfect little helper!
The love Lila has for her little brother was undeniable! She was such a good listener, I couldn’t believe she was only 2 years old! I think mom and dad may have to get some donkeys in the future for this little animal lover.
Just to add more cuteness to this session, dad works for Hydro-One, so Trent got to wear the sweetest little outfit!
Overall, it was a great first newborn experience, and I look forward to being able to capture little Trent and his family again as he continues to grow!
