Well folks, it has happened again! I went all in and entered 50 photos into various categories for the worldwide Shoot and Share Contest! Last year was my first year entering and I was pleasantly surprised that I had a photo place in the top 10%, one in the top 20% and four photos in the top 30%. This year, I had no expectations of achieving that many awards but it was such a fun contest that I had to try again regardless.
There were over half a MILLION photos entered (583,150 to be exact!), millions of voters from 141 different countries across the world, and hours of voting over the last month! I am happy to say that I am officially a Shoot and Share Contest FINALIST!!!! I cannot express how proud and excited I am that millions of people across the world picked my photo to make it to the last round of voting. Almost a fifth of my photos placed in the top percentages this year and I couldn’t be happier!
Below are the photos and breakdown of each placing incase you are as excited to see the specifics as I am! The numbers truly blow me away.
Thank you again for all of your support! I would not of been able to make my hobby a reality if it weren’t for all of the wonderful people like yourselves!!! I am already looking forward to next years contest and will be working hard this year to capture memories that will last a lifetime <3.
*While all the photos hold a place near and dear to my heart, the above unicorn picture strikes a specific heart string for me. This little girl and her family just recently lost their Mother to a long hard war with ovarian cancer. I cannot imagine the pain and loss this family must be going through but I am honoured to have captured a special day for her little girl. If you would like to support the family with funeral costs, please go to this link and donate. https://www.gofundme.com/lets-help-save-tracy039s-life/donate
