Valentine’s Day Surprise <3

I was so excited when my cousins husband wrote me, wanting to surprise Emeli with a photoshoot for herself and their young son for Valentine’s Day! He told me that she has been telling him lately that she never has any good photos of herself and Kalon as she is usually the ones taking them. The only thing he told her today was to get up and dress nice as they were taking a road trip. Living out in the north, when they turned right, she said she knew exactly where she was going. Although still, she only thought it was just for a visit. When she was told I would be doing a shoot for them, she was thrilled. And so was I! I got to spend the whole afternoon hanging out with my family and taking pictures of this memorable surprise. 

I grew up with Emeli, getting into MANY (sometimes dangerous) situations together on the farm. I could talk about the mischief we got into but that could take a while! She is practically another sister and it is so exciting to see her striving with a family of her own. I was a bridesmaid in their wedding, but I had only met Matt THAT weekend! However, I knew instantly they were going to last a lifetime and he was going to fit right in. 

Matt made sure to make Emeli feel extra special today as he watched Kalon so I had some time to capture her natural beauty as a mom and wife.
