I FINALLY got to shoot this couples engagement session! It has been weeks of picking dates and rescheduling due to the weather. Well, yesterday we couldn’t of asked for a better day. A little bit overcast, with the sun peeking through at some points…we lucked out.
Casey went to school with my older sisters, and my mother has known her since she was in Grade 3! I was so excited when she asked me to capture their engagement. I knew exactly where to take them on the farm as she mentioned to me earlier she loved the big old tree I had used in a previous session.
Shaun and Casey were so laid-back, that I felt comfortable enough to really play with my camera settings. It is so easy as a photographer to get carried away with the “auto” settings, but digital cameras now offer so much more. Setting it to manual for the first time EVER during a shoot, I had the chance to play with the different setting which was a great learning opportunity for me! (And I have to say, the photos are not to shabby either) 😉
The best part was that it was no more than 10 minutes after Shaun and Casey left that it started to downpour! I am so glad we beat the rain!
