Occasions by the Bay Wedding, Belleville ON {Katie & Andrew}

I am SLOWLY working my way through these past weddings! I really need to start writing things down after each wedding so I remember all of the wonderful things that happened! However with weddings like this one, it is pretty easy to recall the day because it had such a unique and easy going feeling. When Katie reached out to me to capture her and Andrew’s day, I knew we would be a perfect fit! I am assuming you have heard the term “bridezilla” before, well Katie was the COMPLETE opposite of this! I already enjoy my job documenting weddings, but when you get to work with people like her and Andrew, it makes not feel like a job at all! This was also a wedding that had to adjust many things due to COVID. However, the day was perfect for these two lovebirds.

I was able to shoot at two new locations for this wedding. The girls got ready at a lovely place you can rent out called The Loft on St Paul. I have to say, it was the perfect spot to have your bridal party get ready. There is a huge yard attached which is great for hanging out. As the name implies, there is a loft above which is the perfect bridal suite. Once we were finished up there, we made our way to Occasions by the Bay where the ceremony and reception took place. It was a beautiful fall day so the ceremony was outside at a beautiful gazebo. And let me tell you, when you walked into the reception room, the floor took my breath away! I loved the black and white checkered look! The chandelier was also spectacular.

One of the most memorable parts of the day was when Katie wanted to do some running photos in her dress. She was in a ballgown dress, so needless to say what happened next resulted in some pretty hysterical photos (see photos below)! Katie was SUCH a trooper and once we confirmed she was okay-she wanted to do them again! I have to say, I am not sorry I kept clicking during this fiasco and we all had a great laugh as we looked back on the photos.
