Battling the Black flies.

Last night, Jamie and his wife Kimmy, brought their two gorgeous children, Olive (5) and Gus (3) to the farm for some updated family photos. When I first met the Olive and Gus they were so polite and eager to check the place out. We headed down to the lake to discover that the black flies were horrible! If it wasn’t for the gusts of wind that happened every so often, I don’t think we would of survived. We ended up at one point swatting the bugs away while counting to three when they would then stop and smile. It did work and I managed to capture some fantastic family shots! 

Once we figured out how to beat the bugs and wait for the gusts of wind, we were on the lookout for the horses (who were just roaming around the farm) as Olive is a horse lover like me! We didn’t end up seeing them (they were most likely hiding from the bugs too!) but we had fun exploring!

Leaving the black flies behind, we raced to the top of the hill and out of the woods! I had so much fun hanging out with this family and was super proud to deliver these amazing memories to them! <3
